About
In 2005 my 4 year old daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes-T1D. Once she was on the pump, it quickly, became evident that securing it could be a challenge. One day, with no way to fasten her pump, I nervously watched as it dangled while trying on clothes. I came home and immediately designed a product she could use, for camp, the next day. The product was designed exactly to Sarah's specifications. That was 12 years ago. Snugz have been extremely popular with Sarah, and her friends We knew others could benefit too. In a variety of patterns and colors, Snugz make living with diabetes, or any other disability easier, stylish, and a lot more fun.
I was a flight attendant for 15 years, then I homeschooled for 21 years.
My oldest daughter is an AECF-FC in the Navy. She has been enlisted for 8 years.
Sarah graduated college in 2022, with a degree in Dietetics. She is doing amazing health and career wise.
With kids not requiring my attention, I can find my purpose in other ways. I have always been deeply involved in the diabetic community, consequently this seems to be a natural fit.
